Best Vacation Rental: Our group of 14 rented the entire boutique oceanfront resort Sea Orchard Retreat. This amazing vacation rental offered four private two-bedroom, two bathroom cottages, a large pool and heated spa, gym, cabanas, hammocks and very importantly for our group...free snorkel gear, kayaks & paddle boards! We loved serving dinners for our group at the two large poolside dining tables, followed by a dip in the pool or a dive in the ocean for a few sea urchins. Seven Mile Beach is only a 10 minute drive as well as great shopping and restaurants. Such a unique stay for group travel! Best Snorkel Spots: Amazing snorkeling at Eden Rock, Wreck of Gamma, Spotts Beach
Best Excursion: We absolutely loved our 6 hour private catamaran excursion with Sail with Friends. It was a picture perfect day swimming with stingrays at Stingray City, exploring Starfish Point, and hitting lots of different reefs and snorkeling spots. The kids loved being able to hold and kiss a stingray, and the impromptu dance party on the trampoline netting is such a fun memory. We even all took our turn doing different dives and a back flip or two off the boat! Awesome crew, yummy pizza and fresh fruit, and of course the gorgeous boat made this a truly 5 star experience.
Best Beach: Seven Mile Beach Beautiful soft coral sand and stunning blue water makes this beach one of our favorites in the Caribbean. Sink your toes into the soft sand, try a little snorkeling, and grab a bite to eat at one of the casual bars and restaurants located along the almost 7 mile stretch of beach. We spent an entire day here and then came back for family photos with the sun setting in the background...the colors were just amazing!
Best Restaurants: Kaibo, Cracked Conch
Our favorite dinner of the trip was at the Cracked Conch. This restaurant has an unparalleled setting over the gorgeous aqua water. The menu was outstanding, the service was great, and every dish was delicious. The best part? We were able to enjoy the gorgeous sunset right over the water as we finished our meal. A must do if you are visiting Cayman!
